Movie-goers have long assumed that all of the films on Quentin Tarantino’s resume take place in the same universe.

Director Quentin Tarantino confirms his shared cinematic universe.
Quentin Tarantino only has two movies left before retirement, and one of the ideas he’s considering would see his return to the crime genre.
In an interview for the Australian movie site Tarantino is asked about whether or not he’s wanted to revisit characters from his universe, such as the couple in Pulp Fiction who hold up the diner “Honey Bunny” and “Pumpkin”.
Ahead of the Australia-wide release of Quentin Tarantino’s new film The Hateful Eight, the acclaimed director sits down to talk with theMusic’s Neil Griffiths about his latest project during his visit to Sydney.
The director worked with Uma Thurman on Kill Bill: Vol. 1 in 2003, with the pair reuniting for the second movie in the series the following year. To further explain it, according to Dazed Digital, Tarantino explained the existence of the characters in one universe that’s “realer than real” and then of “two separate universes”.
“So basically when the characters of Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, when they go to the movies…” From Dusk Till Dawn is what they see’. Her description covers numerous major characters from “Kill Bill“, see?
Tarantino also implied that a character from The Hateful Eight is related to one of his older creations, but was loathe to name names.
Making the event even more special is this Thursday’s Q&A screening with Tarantino himself, Samuel L Jackson and Kurt Russell.
“I always start from scratch, literally, a blank piece of paper… every single solitary time”, Tarantino said on The Project.
Hallertau Brewery and film distributors Roadshow Films have produced a limited edition beer – The Hateful Eight beer, sold only through the Golden Dawn Tavern. “I wouldn’t be interested in doing an Aussie western or a Ned Kelly [film] – it’d be the ninth Ned Kelly movie”, he said.

“In particular I want to thank [cinema owner Michael Smith] and his wonderful, dedicated crew that brought the 70mm projector to give you guys in this town a hell of a show”.
