Tata Motors, on Tuesday, introduced a more powerful variant of its popular SUV – the Safari Storme.
New Variant of Safari Storme launched: Indian commercial and passenger auto vehicle manufacturer, Tata Motors launched a more powerful variant of its flagship SUV model – the Safari Storme VX.
The Safari Storme Varicor 400 gets all the features present in the facelifted Safari Storme, including a new audio system with USB, Bluetooth and Aux connectivity, rear parking sensors, steering-mounted controls and a rear passenger centre armrest. The 4X4 variant features ESOF (electronic shift-on-fly) technology, enabling engagement of the 4X4 or 4X2 mode on the move.
The increase in output makes the new Safari Storme VariCOR 400 faster than the previous VX version by 0.5 second while accelerating from 0-60 km/h and by 1 second while sprinting from 0-100 km/h. Also, older Safari with Dicor engine is on offer as well and comes in two variants. The SUV will be equipped with dual SRS airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), collapsible steering column, crumple zones, and side intrusion beam on all four doors.

The range is available in four variants VX, EX and LX in five colours – arctic Silver, urban Bronze, pearl white, astern black and arctic white. 3 year or 1,00,000 km warranty is standard on the Storme (extendable upto 4 years or 1,50,000 kms).
