Tata Motors on Monday officially unveiled the pictures of its latest hatchback Zica, revealing how the final product would look like.
The official images have not exposed the interior as well but the spied Zica has revealed a basic cabin layout with electric windows, a sporty three-spoke steering wheel and features expected to be present include dual front airbags, 2-DIN audio system, rear wiper with washer, and ABS with EBD.
Set to rival Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Wagon R, Hyundai i10 and other entry level hatchbacks in the country once launched, pricing of the new Tata Zica hatchback could range between INR 3.8-5.5 lakh.
The Tata Zica looks like a cross between the Indica, Tata Bolt and Tata Zest.
Based on an extensively modified version of the Indica’s platform, the Zica will be positioned below the Bolt, and will replace the Indica in the private passenger vehicles market (the Indica is expected to continue in the commercial segment). Just like Bolt hatchback and Zest sub-compact sedan, the Tata Zica has been jointly designed by Tata Motors’ three design studios – Pune, Coventry and Turin. On either side of the grille, the Zica sports large spearhead shaped headlights. Engine options on offer could be a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.05-litre diesel engine.

Expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh, Zica will have petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel motor in the other hand will be a new 1.0-litre mill that will make 70PS of peak power and 140Nm of peak torque.
