Tate barely makes weight for UFC 200; Johny Hendricks misses
On Saturday July 9, 2016 the UFC will officially christen Las Vegas’ new T-Mobile Arena with UFC 200; an event that will feature two title fights and the return of Brock Lesnar.

Daniel Cormier was supposed to headline this card but when USADA informed the UFC that Jon Jones failed a drug test and couldn’t fight, DC was lucky to have a fight.
The first fight of the main card was Cain Velasquez vs Travis Browne, with the former UFC heavyweight champion charging in from the first bell and driving Browne back up to the cage with a series of low kicks before planting him to the mat with a big right.
Whether it was seeing how well these women could fight that caused him to see the light, or – just as likely – the money that could come in by welcoming women, White finally made the right call. “They don’t understand how tough she is, but I’m tougher, and better and I will go out there and beat her, but not make the mistake of underestimating her. It’s my job to knock her back a few pegs”.
Nunes enters the Octagon for her first title shot as a distant +195 underdog on the UFC 200 odds. Hunt earning the quick walk-off KO or Lesnar taking his opponent down and proceeding to throw nasty punches and elbows from top control. “I was excited to say, ‘I couldn’t have gotten this without you guys'”.
At one stage he was considered the baddest man on the planet, but then Werdum cleaned his clock and choked him out. Heavyweight Brock Lesnar def. Mark Hunt via unanimous decision (29-27×3).
I have to agree.
Lesnar weighed 265.5 pounds to get the clearance to battle Hunt, who stepped on the weighing scale at 264.5 pounds. It was the same submission Tate used to beat Holly Holm at UFC 196 and the women’s bantamweight title belt changed hands for the third time since Holm defeated Ronda Rousey at UFC 193. “She was losing that fight, but she found a way to win, and I have nothing but respect for that”.
ESK: The more I think about this fight, the more I can’t escape the whole “Lesnar doesn’t like getting hit” thing that we all noticed at the close of his actual UFC career.
“I’m still very young, so I have a lot to learn”, Northcutt said.
Nunes applied a rear-naked choke and Tate tapped to end the matchup of 135-pounders.
While champion Conor McGregor pursues his vendetta against Nate Diaz at welterweight, former champ Aldo and ex-lightweight kingpin Edgar, a Toms River, New Jersey native, vie for the vacant interim featherweight championship.
He’s absolutely ripped through the division since dropping the tightest of decision to Jose Aldo in 2013. But Cruz has a good feeling about the 34-year-old Edgar this weekend. I don’t think she wants it as bad as I do. “I can’t explain it”. In all honesty the referee could have stopped the contest earlier, but he allowed the fight to continue and Lauzon would get the win at 1:26 in the first round.

“[Aldo] nearly looked inhuman for so long that, once you see your humanity and people believe you’re human, it’s hard [to get that back]”. “Now, I’m going back to Brazil and I’m bringing this with me”.
