Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott is the offensive player of the year and Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz is the coach of the year in the Big Ten.

After complaining about not a lack of touches in Ohio State’s loss against Michigan State, Zeke stormed back and got the ball early and often as he had 30 carries for 214 yards and two touchdowns in what will most likely be his final regular season game in the scarlet and gray. He rushed for 1,672 yards with 19 touchdowns, averaging 139 yards per game. Pat Elflein and Taylor Decker were both named B1G first team offensive linemen with Decker being named the league’s offensive lineman of the year.

Decker was the veteran offensive tackle that helped lead Ohio State’s dominant rushing attack.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas made the All-Big Ten third team.

The Big Ten also announced their all-conference teams as well. Hybrid backs Braxton Miller and Jalin Marshall and tight end Nick Vannett earned honorable mentions.

Zeke lost a lot of love for the Heisman after his postgame comments from the Michigan State game, but he is undoubtedly the best running back in the Big Ten.

Senior tackle Adolphus Washington, sophomore linebacker Darron Lee and sophomore cornerback Eli Apple were named 2nd team. He also was coach of the year in 2002, 2004 and 2009.
