Taylor makes game-ending error, Ks 5 times in Nats loss

Puig broke into a sprint at first base after Taylor overran the rolling single to left-center field.
The Dodgers beat the Nationals on Wednesday night with a home run – a Little League home run. Urias gave up two runs in the second, but he handled the Nationals nicely from there in the 94-pitch outing.
Dodgers sweep. Nationals drop fifth straight. The Dodgers gave out Dusty Baker bobbleheads Wednesday to honor the former L.A. outfielder and current Nationals manager….
In the eighth, Grandal hit a three-run home run against Tanner Roark that ended up being the game-winner and handing the Nats their fourth straight loss while the Dodgers picked up their fifth consecutive win.
After a one-out single by Howie Kendrick, Puig singled up the middle to centerfield. Plus, there were some questionable base running decisions such as when Wilson Ramos was thrown out at the plate trying to score on a single from Roark in the eighth. “I was the next Hank Aaron, and you see what happened”.
Cardinals 7, Cubs 2: Michael Wacha pitched into the seventh inning for his first win in almost two months and St. Louis waited out Jake Arrieta before roughing up Chicago’s bullpen. Since walking four batters in his major league debut, the 19-year-old has walked just five since, one walk in each start, with 32 strikeouts during that span, in 24⅓ innings, impressive no matter his age.
With two outs in the first inning, Bryce Harper drove a 2-1 fastball into the left field stands with two outs to put the Nationals on the board. It’s the first time the Dodgers have homered in 13 or more games since July of 2001. Los Angeles OF Trayce Thompson returned to the lineup and went 0-for-4.
Vin Scully was back in the Dodgers broadcast booth after missing Tuesday’s game with a sore throat.
NOTES: The Dodgers reinstated RF Yasiel Puig (strained left hamstring) from the 15-day disabled list.

RHP Stephen Strasburg, who missed his start a day earlier, received treatment Tuesday for an upper back strain. The Nationals hope he makes his next scheduled start on Sunday. When Urias made his first start against the Mets in NY in late May, he became the youngest left-hander in club history to debut since, well, Valenzuela in 1980. The Dodgers are undecided on their weekend rotation but could keep Maeda on regular rest to start Friday or call up a pitcher from the minor leagues to make a spot start.
