The star took to Twitter two days after a disappointed Nicki unleashed a string of mad messages directed at MTV, which Taylor mistakenly thought were directed at her. “Ellen did her own anaconda video and did the #choreo lol”.
But now Taylor has admitted defeat, writing: “I thought I was being called out”.
“If I was a different “kind” of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well”, the rapper wrote.
Nicki, 32, took the industry to task over the fact that she didn’t make the Video of the Year shortlist.
We love Nicki and Taylor so much, and they both deserve recognition at the VMAS!
That tweet that seemed to get Swift’s attention. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other.
“Huh? U must not be reading my tweets”. But u should speak on this.’. “I’m sorry, Nicki. @NICKIMINAJ”.
Talking about the clash between the singers, the 25-year-old Roar hit-maker tweeted, ” Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalises on the take down of a woman…”
