Taylor Swift could be in Law and Order SVU

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker is a huge fan of the longrunning show and even named one of her pet cats after the veteran actress’ Law & Order character, Olivia Benson. She likes Troye Sivan’s new EP Wild, enjoys baking assorted desserts with her friends and binge-watches Law & Order: SVU like the rest of us. Mariska has recently worked with Taylor in her “Bad Blood” music video so Taylor might return the favor.

Based on what we are hearing right now, it certainly at least appears like this is something that could be considered.

Obviously, it feels like this is something that Swift would enjoy, and NBC would be through the roof if it happens.

While there’s no solid confirmation on the part, we’re really hoping that Taylor shows off her acting chops with a pop star-turned-murderess role! In an episode of CSI, another of her favorites, she played a rebellious teen in 2009. Although Swift is mostly known for her work as a pop/folk/country singer, this isnt as big of a stretch as you might think.

While “Law and Order: SVU” is working to schedule Taylor on future episodes, executive producer Warren Leight confirmed a number of Hollywood stars set to guest roles.

“We talked about it”, said Hargitay, who’s starred on the drama since Season 1. “The squad room needs to get a cat or I need to get a cat and name it Taylor”, Hargitay joked.

Swift, meanwhile, actually just nabbed an Emmy for original interactive program for her AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience.
