Our thoughts and prayers are with Louisiana during this hard time.

Lady Gaga is following Taylor Swift’s example and donating cash to the flood relief efforts in Louisiana.

Of course, the singer has also received not so positive attention for her on-going spat with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian over the Life of Pablo track “Famous”.

“I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time”, the “Shake It Off” singer’s statement finished.

It was reported on Tuesday that 11 people already died because of the raging flood that persuaded authorities to announce disasters in the 20 county-like areas of the USA southeastern state.

And in February this year, she donated $250,000 to help Kesha with her financial needs after a NY judge refused to issue a court injunction allowing Kesha to record new music without the input of producer Dr. Luke, who she claims sexually abused her, and outside of her record deal with label Sony Music. Her representatives didn’t immediately return a request for comment. Louisiana has 64 parishes, in all.

Louisiana Governor, John Bel Edwards, said that the floods have not abated and the full extent of the damage is yet to be determined.

“To the lovely and courageous Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts”, Taylor wrote in a sweet message to her young fan. “I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family”.

Swift isn’t the only kindhearted celeb to open her checkbook for the cause.
