Taylor Swift leads VMAs with 9 nominations
Yesterday MTV announced that the pop star will be hosting this year’s show.

In typical Miley style she added the caption “F*** yeah VMAs!!!!!”
As usual, the singer posed iconically with her tounge out and her thumbs up.
The 25-year-old singer is the top nominee at this year’s event, with her star-studded Bad Blood receiving nods in seven categories including best collaboration, best cinematography and video of the year. If you recall, her 2013 Video Music Award appearance was highlighted by her duet with Robin Thicke which ended in some pretty “saucy” sexual innuendos.
In 2014, Cyrus took a different approach when she won the video of the year prize for Wrecking Ball.
But that’s obviously not stopping her from stepping up on that stage to do other things, like host.
The MTV VMA nominees is set to be announced Tuesday in Beats 1 “Charts” show on Apple Music, hosted by Brooke Reece and Travis Mills.
Miley Cyrus will have everyone watching the MTV Video Music Awards 2015 on their toes, unpredictable as she is, who knows what she has up in her sleeves. Besides Miley’s twerking, CNN reported that it was also during the VMAs when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech in 2009, and where Britney Spears and Madonna outraged audiences with a shared kiss in 2003. But whatever Ms. Cyrus has in store for us, we’re sure the broadcast is going to be a must-see.
This year’s VMAs air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. August 30.
