In a Facebook post by Allison Brinson Rayburn, Taylor’s mom, she explained that the Atlanta concert was a belated birthday surprise for the young girl.

A 6-year-old battling a rare form of cancer deserves all the special treats she can get. The news outlet said that Rayburn apparently had surgery to remove a small tumor and one of her kidneys around the time of her birthday. Allison wrote on her Facebook post.

According to Taylor’s mother, Allison Rayburn, Swift is “just like you see on TV” and she’s surrounded by the “sweetest” and “humblest” friends and family.

Our seats happened to be close to where Taylor Swift’s entourage was.

Swift also gushed about her co-star of the night, Tove Lo, and shared several photos of the concert as she was joined on stage by the Swedish singer. Taylor announced that her mother was diagnosed with cancer in April after gifting her with screenings at Christmas.

Andrea Swift, who is also suffering from cancer, plucked the six-year-old out of the crowd to sit with her during a song before arranging a backstage meet and greet with the songstress herself. “[Taylor] left saying, ‘I can’t tell if this is a dream or for real!’ So awesome!”
