Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour will stream on Apple Music
Swift and Apple said Sunday that subscribers to Apple Music, Apple’s music-streaming service, will have exclusive access to a concert video shot during the pop’s star’s recently concluded world concert tour. According to Re/code, you can also expect an onslaught of Taylor Swift-related promotion from Apple: it also bagged the rights to use her name and likeness for a series of promotions.

The tour documentary will include an entire live set from a recent Australia show, backstage footage, and performances from some of the many musical guests she brought to the stage during her 85-date tour. In August Apple is aiming to attract more listeners by offering its streaming service Apple Music free for three months.
“Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes”, Swift tweeted to her 67 million followers.
Her post on Tumblr read: “I’m sure you are aware that Apple Music will be offering a free 3 month trial to anyone who signs up for the service”.
The post included a trailer from the film, which will be available next Sunday.
Note that this isn’t a livestream of Swift’s concert, but rather it will be the stream of a film directed by Jonas Akerlund.
Over the weekend Taylor Swift teased the 1989 World Tour Live release on Twitter, and then shared the trailer that confirms a lot of exciting details fans will want to know about.
Apple changed its decision to pay artists, but Swift said she was a bit terrified after posting the letter. “I wondered what it would be like to perform for 70,000 thousand people”.
“I wondered what it would look like if they were all lit up and dancing around like no one was watching”. She has also been critical of Apple’s payment policy for artists.
The move might come as a surprise to fans and industry watchers who remember that Swift strongly chastised Apple Music earlier this year.
