Taylor Swift shuns MTV awards after Kimye spat

Now, later tonight, “Famous” might lose to Beyoncé, but I can’t be mad.

Kanye West dropped the visuals to “Fade” from his latest album, The Life of Pablo, at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. “I came here to present my new video, but before I do that, Im’ma talk”.

Kanye West wants unity and love with Taylor Swift, according to his latest tweet.

The shirt/peace offering combines Taylor Swift’s biggest appeal to the masses yet with the album that Kanye made while deep in his pariah period (after famously storming the stage to shout down Taylor Swift’s VMA win).

But for people to understand just how blessed we are… Our fame right now. You just know just to put – the audacity to put Anna Wintour next to Donald Trump. I mean, like, I put Ray J in there, bro. “This is fame bro…”, he said, and then spied former girlfriend Amber Rose in the audience. Ray J leaked his and Kim’s sex tape without her consent in 2007.

Over the weekend, Los Angeles gallery Blum & Poe exhibited the waxworks from Kanye West‘s “Famous”.

He also acknowledged supportive Kim in the front row, saying, “My wife is a G (gangster)”. We came over in the same boat. Maybe different boats, but uh, you know.

“People come up to me, like, ‘That’s right, tell Taylor!’ I’m like, ‘Bro, I love all y’all!”

Naturally, the Twitterverse had plenty to say about Kanye’s speech and new video – albeit not as much as Kanye had to say about Kanye – including Nick Cannon, Kylie Jenner, and Tegan and Sara.

Kanye then got onto the subject of THAT phone call between himself and Taylor that Kim Kardashian recently posted to Snapchat.

Later, Kanye spoke about art and his idols, before introducing the “Fade” music video.

“I am Kanye West and that feels really great especially to say this year”. If you feel like you seeing people dying right next to you, you might feel like, what’s the point? I know for me, I sit down and talk to older, like rich people – a.k.a white – and they tell me, ‘Don’t compare yourself to Steve Jobs. Don’t compare yourself to Walt Disney.’ And my friend… told me, ‘There are three keys to keeping people impoverished.
