TCU receiver Josh Doctson out for Saturday’s game against Sooners
After the injury, Patterson and the Frogs held out hope that Doctson would be back. Those two remaining games in the regular season: at No. 7 Oklahoma this Saturday and at home against No. 10 Baylor on November 27.

During the middle of the season, he put together a six-game streak in which he racked up at least 125 receiving yards; he topped out with 18 catches for 267 yards during the Horned Frogs’ 55-52 shootout win over Texas on September 26.
Doctson had been one of the best receivers in the country this season.
Doctson originally suffered the injury in the November 7 loss at Oklahoma State.
Earlier Wednesday, both Boykin and Doctson were named two of 15 semifinalists for the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award. The next two TCU receivers behind Boykin (KaVontae Turpin and Shaun Nixon) have combined to catch 67 passes for 884 yards and seven touchdowns.
Doctson was scheduled to see a specialist about the injury, Patterson said at his weekly press conference Tuesday.

Docston is not the only key player for the Frogs who is injured at the moment. Starting quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate Trevone Boykin left the game against Kansas and is questionable for Saturday’s contest against the Sooners. Mighty Mo is still wearing Sooner crimson, but he is known for his quick-change artistry, and that is a critical factor that Stoops and the Sooners can’t afford to let happen…not now and not this close to the coveted end prize.
