TCU announced the suspensions of Tuaua and Petties-Wilson on September 21, the day they were arrested and more than two weeks after the September 4 incident.
“For both my student-athletes and the other students, I’m just sad that the situation happened”, Patterson said. “Hopefully my guys learn from it”, Patterson said, according to the (Fort Worth) Star-Telegram.
Tuaua and Petties-Wilson missed the past three games as part of their suspensions.
Patterson told reporters he wasn’t sure if either player would play against Texas on Saturday. Tuaua had three tackles and half of a sack against Minnesota in the opener before being suspended for his role in the incident that took place on September 4.

He also mentioned Tuaua’s case when he compared that alleged crime to Baylor’s recent legal woes in connection with the conviction of former Baylor football player Sam Ukwuachu on a sexual assault charge.
