Team Grades: Dolphins Stun Patriots, 20-10, In Bittersweet NFL Season Finale
He just came down on the back of me and… “300 pounds, he just collapses the back of your leg. There’s going to be some residual damage from that”. While never being challenged very much for the division this season, the New York Jets finished with a record of 10-6, just missing out on the playoffs. Brady spoke on his condition saying, “I’m doing all right”. “There’s nothing else in my life that’s a priority at this point other than getting to feel like I’m 100 percent”.

“Here’s the one thing I’ve heard consistently over the past few years: Belichick wants to win without Brady”. Miami has more than enough talented players to compete with any team in the league, and this was exactly the type of game we all needed to see in order to continue to believe it. “What’s going to matter is how well we play in two weeks”.
“In my book we are 1-0 in 2016”, Miami receiver Jarvis Landry said.
“I met with (owners) John Mara and Steve Tisch this afternoon, and I informed them that it is in the best interest of the organization that I step down as head coach”, Coughlin said in a statement.
The Patriots entered the season looking poised to defend their title but with all the setbacks they faced and are now dealing with, it seems like the goal of reaching the Super Bowl just got harder for them.
This is the third year in a row the Dolphins (6-10) won a home game against the Patriots.
Those choices were justified the first time they did let the quarterback drop back, as the notoriously dirty Ndamukong Suh burst around the edge and came crashing down on Brady’s legs. New England may not of been expecting too big of a challenge from Miami, but they got one. Without Sebastian Vollmer, Brady was under pressure and took a beating. The offense wasn’t any better than in the first half. All but one of those attempts went to running backs, with Brandon LaFell being the lone exception on a pass that lost a yard.
For Belichick to have time to recoup the team and win beyond Brady in Foxboro, he would need the GOAT QB to retire after his deal in 2017 is up with the New England Patriots. All told Brady completed 12 of 21 throws for 134 yards.
While Brady had been left limping when a defensive lineman barreled into him, and his ankle was “pretty sore” afterward, it ultimately appeared the quarterback and his pair of preferred weapons had escaped the regular-season finale without serious injury. TE Jordan Cameron capped off the series with a touchdown to move Miami into the lead 17-10.

Brady spent most of the first half handing off, with the Patriots running the ball on 16 of their first 18 plays. Jackson did score a touchdown on the day from two yards out, but his performance wasn’t exactly inspiring.
