Replay was restored to both clubhouses around 9:40 p.m. ET, according to Rosenthal. In his adopted hometown for speeches and fundraisers, Barack Obama was courtside for much of the game – a good omen as the first game got a 2.7 MM rating to rise 42% over last year’s opening-night Game 1. The same one had been used throughout the League Championship Series and a few Division Series, but the rental company has a forensic team investigating to see whether it was an electronics issue or, less likely, a problem with the fuel.
