“You know, a couple of months ago, Donald Trump told us he could be the most politically correct person on earth”.

Campaigning in Indiana, Trump railed against his party’s leadership, even as his senior lieutenants courted GOP officials behind closed doors in Florida.
He added, “the image is going to change”. “He’s getting better”, said Ben Carson, a Trump ally who was part of the GOP’s front-runner’s RNC outreach team. Yesterday, Trump told Matt Lauer at “TODAY” that he disagreed with the “very strong” bill, which bans people from using bathrooms that don’t match the sex they were assigned at birthday.
Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus told a gathering in Florida on Friday that the party was prepared for numerous scenarios, including a contested convention in July if no Republican has earned the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the nomination for the November 8 presidential election.
Cruz conceded publicly for the first time that he doesn’t have enough support to claim the nomination before the party’s summertime national convention, but he also vowed Wednesday to block Trump from collecting the necessary delegates as well.
Manafort in the meeting said, “he gets it”.
Republican presidential candidate John Kasich says he’s seeing signs that some primary voters in states that have already voted may be having second thoughts about supporting Donald Trump.
While Trump’s campaign has never implicitly promoted violence, actions such as the leaking of Hanyne’s vote have left many Republican leaders and delegates in a state of fear.
Kasich points to polls that show him ahead of Clinton in key states, saying he could win blue-collar Democrats such as those he grew up with outside of Pittsburgh.
“People don’t know what to make of him, some of the stump speeches he’s given, some of the style he has, some of the ways in which he’s presented the issues”, Manafort said of his boss. The notoriously thrifty billionaire is also plunging $2 million into television advertising in Pennsylvania and in, states that hold primary contests over the next two weeks.
The Republican presidential candidate seems especially obsessed with the idea that trans women are perhaps hiding in restrooms waiting to attack unsuspecting young girls. The Texas senator called Trump’s position “a reckless policy that will endanger our loved ones”. But 54 will go to the convention as free agents and can vote for whoever they want on the first ballot.
Jazz touched on this earlier but it’s worth posting the audio of Paul Manafort addressing the RNC yesterday, just a few hours after Trump reminded his socially conservative fans once again that he’s not almost as conservative as they are.

In contrast, Katie Packer, a Republican who runs a political action committee that works against Trump, said the GOP front-runner won’t deliver in November.
