Ted Cruz: Donald Trump is no Ronald Reagan
Trump then referenced a loan Cruz received from Goldman Sachs during his 2012 Senate candidacy as well as a New York Times report from Friday that said Cruz failed to disclose a second loan from Citibank during his 2012 Senate run.

Unlike Iowa, where Cruz is neck-and-neck with Donald Trump, New Hampshire is a state where Trump dominates, leading the rest of the pack by almost 20 points in recent polls.
Cruz questioned whether Trump is a true conservative, noting donations he’s made to Democrats over the years, including $50,000 in 2010 to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the former chief of staff to President Barack Obama. In a retooled stump speech flush with Trump overtones and delivered right before Trump took the stage himself, Cruz offered a checklist of fights that he had led that his opponents – like Trump – hadn’t.
Trump is one of several candidates who support the Iowa ethanol mandate, and Rubio has advocated for his home state’s subsidies.
“Was there another loan that Ted Cruz FORGOT to file“. “Knowing Donald that has got to drive him nuts – got him out of bed this morning and tweeting and tweeting and tweeting”. “Given the fact that for much of his life Donald was financially supporting those politicians, writing checks to Hillary Clinton, writing checks to Andrew Cuomo, it’s a fair inference that he supports their policy”.
Conservative radio host Mark Levin gave Republican presidential front-runner some “friendly advice” about his accusations against rival Ted Cruz: “Cut the crap”.
Trump has made Cruz’s birthplace an issue throughout the campaign as he was born in Calgary. But he leaned hard into highlighting his conservative Christian views, an implicit contrast with the more secular Trump as he looks to rally voters in the deeply religious southern state.
“It enhances his commitment from his fans, their loyalty”, Rich Bolen, Cruz’s Lexington County, South Carolina, chairman, said of Cruz’s overt religiosity. Trump asked his Twitter followers on Saturday if Cruz had any unreported loans from Canadian banks.
“If Ted Cruz is so opposed to gay marriage, why did he accept money from people who espouse gay marriage?” he asked. The two candidates have been tangled over Cruz’s use of the phrase “New York values”.
“Everybody that loves the people of NY, and all they have been thru, should get hypocrites like Ted Cruz out of politics!” “You cant be tea party and at the same time support the ethanol mandate because it’s good politics in Iowa and support the sugar subsidies because it’s good politics in Florida”.

“We’re the biggest city in the country; we’re the greatest city in the country – for him to play to the – you know, his political base and play his political game against the values and interest of eight-and-a-half million Americans is absolutely disgusting”, de Blasio said.
