A new poll released by McClatchy-Marist on September 23 found Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leading Trump among likely voters by 48 percent to 41 percent, reports POLITICO. Ted Cruz may be ready to support the Republican presidential nominee.

Among Trump supporters, 48 percent believe he will create the Muslim database to track people of the Islamic faith; 36 predict race riots; 33 percent think the USA government would default on the national debt; 32 percent believe Trump would support internment camps and misuse his power to punish political opponents; and 22 percent say Trump would set off a nuclear war (It’s not clear how those 22 percent of pro-Trump voters intend to survive a nuclear war). His wild threats to blow Iranian ships out of the water if they make rude gestures at USA ships is just the type of reckless, cowboy diplomacy Americans should fear from a Trump presidency….
“He’s a formidable, well-prepared candidate with a formidable, well-prepared team”, said Navarro, a professor at the University of California, Irvine.

Among independent voters, Trump is now up by six points over Clinton.
The Republican has long lashed out at critics in deeply personal ways, especially after a perceived slight. As the nation’s top diplomat, Clinton was well-traveled, visiting numerous countries and restoring USA influence internationally.
Voters seem to share Clinton’s concerns. As senator of NY, she earned respect in Congress by working across the aisle and crafting bills with conservative lawmakers.
Trump said in a statement that he and Cruz “have fought the battle” and called Cruz a “tough and brilliant opponent”.
“If she tries to act aggressive and tries to match him, it’s not going to appear authentic”, Walton said. “Clearly his advisers agree that that is not a very presidential image”. “We as Americans have always been able to look at the wacky leaders of other countries and say ‘Phew, that’s not us.’ We couldn’t if Trump wins”.
“That’s why there is only one choice when we elect a president in November: Hillary Clinton”, the editorial reads. He spoke shortly after joining other supportive lawmakers for a meeting Thursday with Trump political director Jim Murphy.

“We’re probably looking at a modestly positive week pushing the high end of the S&P 500, unless something comes out of the debate that spells real success for Trump”, said Phil Blancato, chief executive of Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management in NY. “I think it would be wonderful to elect a woman, but a different woman”.
