Ted Cruz Endorses Trump After Calling Him a “Sniveling Coward”
The senator, who drew ire at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in July for not endorsing Trump, said electing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton would be “wholly unacceptable”.

Ted Cruz announced Friday he will vote for Donald Trump, a dramatic about-face for the Texas senator who previously called the NY businessman a “pathological liar” and “utterly amoral”. “We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent”.
“It is clear Ted Cruz has examined his principles, considered the choice at hand and has chose to lead by example in endorsing Donald Trump as the man who will repeal Obamacare, balance our budget, and ensure the Supreme Court protects our most cherished rights over Hillary Clinton, who will represent another four years of the failed Obama Administration”, said the group’s chairwoman, Jenny Beth Martin.
Cruz’s backing now could help Trump shore up support from Republicans who have long suspected the candidate’s conservative credentials, including the evangelical voters who form the core of Cruz’s electorate. Priebus’s exact words were, “If they’re thinking they’re going to run again someday, I think that we’re going to evaluate the process-of the nomination process, and I don’t think it’s going to be that easy for them. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way”, Cruz said. Many have noted that Trump has been acting more “presidential” as of late, and that might be why Cruz is deciding to jump on board.
“If (Hillary) Clinton wins, we know – with 100 per cent certainty – that she would deliver on her left-wing promises, with devastating results for our country”, Cruz wrote.
Some of Cruz’s supporters are expressing disappointment with the senator’s change of heart.
And, yes, the nonendorsement in Cleveland damaged Cruz and put him in a politically awkward position, out of step with his party.
Trump repeatedly questioned whether Cruz’s Canadian birthplace made him ineligible to be president, attacked the looks of his wife in a tweet, and fueled a conspiracy that suggested his dad was involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Cruz, on the other hand, dubbed Trump a “pathological liar” and “amoral”.
“This has been the second in a couple of lists that have been released by the Trump campaign and my brother was on the first list”.
He writes, “Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans”. In a lengthy Facebook post, the failed Republican presidential candidate said he’s planning on voting for Donald Trump this November. Cruz, whose Washington career began when he was Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist’s clerk, explained that the fate of the Supreme Court was a strong reason for staying with Trump.
The Texas senator is expected to voice some type of support for Trump either Friday or Saturday, the people said.
