“Rubio was good in the debates and seems to be a good candidate, and though he’s not overly experienced, that’s an issue with Cruz, as well”. This summer, Cruz pledged to support a constitutional amendment that would effectively ban several forms of birth control to protect “the civil rights of the pre-born at an embryonic or fetal level”.
“The war on women wasn’t that, it was contraceptives”, Cruz said.
When he was running for the Senate in 2012, Cruz said he would support legislation that allowed insurance companies to deny women birth control coverage “at their discretion”.
The ads from America’s Renewable Future criticize Cruz’s position against the federal mandate to blend ethanol into gasoline, saying the Texas Republican has chosen the oil industry over Iowa farmers.
