Ted Cruz I’ll Be Watching Trump Tonight

He just admitted it.

“I’m not going to get into criticizing or attacking Donald Trump, but I’ll give you this response: I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”, Cruz said, adding that those attacks had undone his pledge to back the eventual GOP nominee.

“I am not going to call him “Lyin” Ted’ anymore, but he did sign the pledge and it was pretty definitive”. But donors themselves are also still not sold on the billionaire businessman, with Mrs. DeVos saying she’s “still in a very much watch-and-wait mode” when it comes to Mr. Trump.

Paul Manafort told NBC’s Today on Thursday morning that Mr Trump invited his primary opponents to address the convention in Cleveland because “he views the primary process as over”. It was a scene.

“I appreciate the enthusiasm of the NY delegates”, Cruz said, thinking that would hold them for a while. “What does it say when you stand up and say “vote your conscience” and rabid supporters of our nominee begin screaming what a disgusting thing to say?” He’ll vote for the “candidate I trust to defend our freedom and be faithful to the Constitution”. Ted Cruz, acknowledged he probably will not vote for Trump. Not the least of which, her husband, Donald Trump, became the party’s official nominee for president.

Donald Trump is set to make his case to America – and to the many rattled doubters within his own party.

Heidi Cruz had to be escorted to safety when it was over, CNN reported. He threatened to “spill the beans” on her (whatever that meant).

Rep. Robert Pittenger, R-Charlotte, said Cruz needs to be a team player. Cruz also told voters pointedly to “vote your conscience”. He insisted he would not be a “servile puppy dog”, especially after Trump’s criticism of the senator’s wife and father. He’s acknowledging that he hasn’t forgiven Trump for the sins of the primary. Ted Cruz refused to endorse Mr. Trump.

I’ve never heard a speaker booed on the stage or a party this beset by internal strife or a wing of a party drag the rest out to the fringes of political respectability. This resulted in booing of Cruz by Trump supporters as millions of Americans and people globally saw bringing to the fore the divide in the Republican party.

Kasper, who said his “loyalties were equally divided” between Trump and Ohio Gov. John Kasich in the primaries, said that Trump showing up at the tail end of Cruz’s speech was him trying to show that this convention is not “business-as-usual”. He didn’t stray from his prepared remarks.

The comment put a finer point on the candidate’s previous criticism of NATO’s relevance, usefulness and increasing frustration that allies aren’t paying their fair share. He was telling people whom to vote for in November while conspicuously excluding even a brief allusion to voting for Trump or voting against Clinton.
