Ted Cruz in Cobb today

If Trump is overly bothered by Cruz leading him by 10 points in Iowa according to the widely respected Des Moines Register poll, and potentially dealing him a damaging blow at the outset of actual voting, he hasn’t given much sign of it yet.

I believe it is better to fail trying something new than succeed doing run-of-the-mill. The movie saw a bumper opening as it earned Rs 21 crores in India on the first day.

Two familiar battles emerged: Sens. He is followed by Cruz with 18 percent, Rubio with 13 percent and Jeb Bush with seven percent.

Another man, who was apparently wounded by police as they shot at the Palestinian assailants, also died later. Twenty-one Israelis have now been killed , a lot of them in stabbings and shooting attacks by Palestinians .

Donald Trump and Jeb Bush continue their clash after Tuesday’s debate in Las Vegas. Around 54 percent of unauthorized Latino immigrants in 2013 said they identified with or leaned toward the Democratic party, compared to 19 percent who said the same of the Republican Party.

Severe storms possible in Missouri tonight and Wednesday, flooding after Christmas
WHAT WE’RE TRACKINGMild temperatures expected Wednesdsay morning with record high temperatures through the afternoon. Rain amounts could range from an inch to 3 inches or more in various regions, the weather service said.

Trump has said he does not want Bush’s endorsement.

During the rally, Trump also went after Rand Paul, saying the Kentucky senator doesn’t have same “spark” as his father, Ron, who ran for the presidency in 2008 and 2012.

“What I said in private is exactly what I’d say here”, Cruz replied. And the answer better not be because we took away a valuable tool in the toolbox.

Bush had tweeted, briefly after Trump announced his policy proposal to ban non-American Muslims from coming into the United States, that Trump was ‘unhinged’.

“We’re looking at a president who has engaged in this double speak”, he continued, pivoting to Obama. Before the debate, which was hosted by CNN and Facebook, Donald Trump had driven most policy discussions since he entered the race, in June. “And I think the lion’s share of their supporters come to us”. Trump and Cruz restored their non-aggression pact, reflecting their status as the two strongest candidates going into the new year.

Rubio positioned himself as the hawk on national security, defending American efforts to oust dictators like Syria’s Bashar Assad in the Middle East. He also accused Cruz of weakening the government’s ability to track terrorists because he voted in favor of legislation to eliminate the National Security Agency’s bulk phone-records collection program and replace it with a more restrictive effort to keep the records in phone companies’ hands.

Rubio responded that national television is not the place to discuss classified information, before going on to dispute Cruz’s suggestions.

But Rubio appears to be doing the same, shifting attention from his own immigration views, which he conceded Tuesday – in his one shaky moment of the debate – still includes a path to citizenship. Even Jeb Bush eagerly exchanged a low-five with the mogul during one of the early debates. It’s possible to imagine party elders finding Bush’s anti-Trump tack satisfying and courageous, but it has gotten nowhere.

“Donald is great at the one-liners, but he is a chaos candidate”.

‘And he’d be the chaos president, ‘ Bush said.

Trump wasn’t having any of it. “Jeb doesn’t really believe I’m unhinged”.

On O’Reilly, Trump said he thought the attacks were totally fair. It’s been a total disaster.

Still, by honoring Trump’s implicit rule that if you demonstrate respect for him, he’ll probably leave you alone, Cruz has so far avoided a Trump onslaught. I’m skeptical. But even if they’re right, they will have to do better than playing tough guys on TV. “Excuse me, am I allowed to finish?”

‘Some guy wrote it for him, ‘ Trump added. One reason is because it had lately become fashionable to conclude that Donald Trump had made Cruz suddenly palatable to the establishment types.

MCCAMMON: You know, Audie, a few of the Republican voters I talked to today are anxious about the tone of this campaign. So if Trump merely gets the largest number of delegates, chances are he’ll be the nominee, and right now he’s still very well positioned to do that. “I don’t know if that is Saturday morning or Sunday morning”. And you’re not being treated fairly?’ Imagine what it’s going to be like dealing with Putin, or dealing with Xi, or dealing with the Islamic terrorism that exists, ‘ Bush said to Trump, name-dropping the leaders of Russian Federation and China.
