Ted Cruz in Virtual Tie with Donald Trump in New National Poll
All of the candidates, including Kasich, will need plentiful resources for robust television advertising campaigns in the 13 states that hold nominating contests on March 1, including MA. In the same poll, Clinton leads Sen. However, the real story here is a tie for second place at 18 percent between freshman senators Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida.

Many U.S. military commanders have long opposed the use of torture out of concern that it makes it more likely enemy forces will do the same to captured U.S. soldiers. While Cruz has always been holding the second place spot in polling, recent polls have had Kasich, Rubio, and Bush all either in second or a point away.
As has been the case thus far, the real race is for second and third place.
Although the SC primary is Trump’s to lose, his debate performance on Saturday night indicated he isn’t taking anything for granted.
As for whether the survey shows Republicans pulling away from the billionaire businessman after his accusations that President Bush had lied before the Iraq War and failed to keep America safe, McInturff added, “One poll post-Saturday debate can only reflect there may have been a “pause” as Republican voters take another look at Trump”. Trump also leads by double digits in recent polling in SC, the next state to vote.
“Virginia Democrats continue to be hesitant on Clinton”, said Director of the Wason Center for Public Policy Quentin Kidd. Trump holds a smaller lead over Cruz among white evangelicals than among the general population of Republican primary voters – his margin shrinks to 9 points from 20 points.
But Sanders has been climbing slowly in SC, and if he closes the gap much more, his campaign will be able to market those gains as a win for his team – even if he doesn’t come out on top.

The polls says Clinton dominates due to support from the state’s large African-American electorate with 63 percent of support to Sanders’ 23 percent. Quinnipiac found that Clinton had a 44-42 lead over Sanders.
