The Duke debate seeped into the Democratic contest, as Vermont Sen.

The polls are now open and ballots are being cast during Super Tuesday, the biggest day to date for the upcoming November election.

SEN. MARCO RUBIO (R-FL), Republican Presidential Candidate: Honestly, you know our country, you know your neighbors, you know your family and you know your friends. Republican U.S. Sen. John Boozman is fending off a longshot challenge from North Little Rock businessman Curtis Coleman.

Voters in 13 states headed to the polls Tuesday as presidential hopefuls scrambled for shares of the biggest one-day pot of convention delegates in the 2016 primary season. About a quarter of Virginia’s Democratic voters were black, and also overwhelmingly backed Clinton, according to exit polling.

Republican front-runner Donald Trump was expected to win most of the states, with Cruz’s home state of Texas the unsurprising outlier.

Democratic upstart Bernie Sanders has won a resounding victory against Hillary Clinton in the first contest of Super Tuesday.

It’s likely Super Tuesday could be a split for the Democrats.

“If Trump carries all the states (on Super Tuesday) – including Cruz’s Texas – it will be extremely hard for another candidate to overtake him”.

Patricia Watts, who voted early in downtown Perryville on Monday, said she supported Cruz, but said she’s prepared to vote for Trump if the billionaire wins the Republican nomination.

One big concern for republicans: would trump at the top of the ticket, if he loses, take down with him 24 GOP senate candidates.

Clinton in recent days has chosen to focus on Trump.

In a fundraising email to supporters, Rubio’s campaign said the senator “is not going to give up this fight – he’ll do whatever it takes to stop Trump”.

Still – Allikian emphasises a vote in the overseas primary is often a much more powerful than a vote in an expat’s home state. Instead, he’s watched Trump, a brash NY real estate mogul, display surprising strength with evangelical Christians and social conservatives. “He hasn’t won anything”.

Massachusetts is typically seen as solidly Democratic – with the party holding every seat in the state’s congressional delegation and overwhelming majorities in the Massachusetts House and Senate.

Ted Cruz has a double-digit lead over Donald Trump in Texas according to a new poll commissioned by FOX4.

Clinton re-tweeted Sanders’ message. The Vermont senator did carry his home state decisively, and told the crowd at a raucous victory party that he was “so proud to bring Vermont values all across this country”. But Sanders faces tough questions about whether he can rally minorities that are core Democratic voters.

Both held events Monday in MA, with Clinton then going to Virginia and Sanders traveling to Minnesota.

So far Sanders’ wins have come largely from white voters. The GOP does have superdelegates, but under a party rule change they are bound this year to vote for their state’s election or caucus victor, with an exception in a few states that don’t hold presidential preference votes.
