Ted Cruz mathematically eliminated: Donald Trump
Clinton’s win over Bernie Sanders, while narrower, broke a string of victories by the democratic socialist and gave the Democratic front-runner a much-needed lift.

Mrs Clinton, from the Democratic Party, called her Republican rival “dangerous” in her victory speech while Mr Trump returned the compliment at a rally by calling the former secretary of state “crooked”. Her rival Bernie Sanders has 1,223 delegates (inclusive of only 40 super delegates) and needs 1,160 to bag the nomination. A competitive election always drives politicians to make unrealistic promises, and this election is no exception. So what will happen after the election?
“My message to the delegates is that I can win”, Kasich told reporters.
John Weaver, chief strategist for the Kasich campaign, said there is a plan to try to deny Mr. Trump delegates in the upcoming states but that the forces failed to do their part in NY.
Eight years ago, when Hillary Clinton faced Barack Obama in the NY primary, she won two thirds of the rural vote. And if Sanders defies expectations and ends up leading in pledged delegates, Clinton’s superdelegates will shift their allegiance, said Tad Devine, a top Sanders adviser.
Donald Trump’s supporters, and others, have asserted that it would be undemocratic to deny the nomination to a candidate who comes into the convention with the most committed delegates, even if he or she is short of the required majority.
South Carolina GOP Chairman Matt Moore praised the Trump campaign’s hiring of Republican insider Rick Wiley, who had served as Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign manager. He reiterated that the party was “a long ways off from a nominee” and that Cruz will prevail.
The three U.S. Republican presidential candidates are wooing party officials at an oceanside resort in Florida to try to shape rules that could govern a contested nomination fight at the party’s national convention in July. Last night, senior adviser Tad Devine said they will – quote – “assess where we are after next week’s primaries”.
For Democrats, the NY presidential primary results continue a trend: Sanders sees his percentage of the vote rise in rural counties and in small towns.

The next primaries will be held on April 26 in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. We’re going to go into Cleveland, I’m going to have ton of delegates.
