Ted Cruz open to Rubio, Kasich in cabinet
In answering a question of whether he’d support Trump as the nominee, Marco Rubio said on Saturday during a press conference in Largo, Florida, “I intend to support the Republican nominee”.

There are also elections on Tuesday in Florida, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina that could have a major impact on the presidential race going forward.
Trump cancelled a big rally in Chicago on Friday evening over security after protesters swarmed the event, sparking clashes.
The results of a recent Monmouth University poll lend credence to Conant’s assessment, as Kasich edges out Trump among Ohioans expected to vote in Tuesday’s GOP primary.
Last month, Kasich said on NBC’s Meet the Press: “I’m going to win Ohio“. It’s victor takes all for Ohio’s 66 delegates. John Kasich, for his part, said that Trump’s behavior has been bad – very bad, indeed – but had not yet crossed the line at which he’d lose the not-moderate OH governor’s support. Since then Romney has offered to pitch in to help the remaining GOP candidates – Kasich, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz – defeat the billionaire businessman.
RealClear Politics’ polling roundup shows Clinton holding slight leads over Sanders in three out of four IL polls; the fourth shows Sanders ahead by 2 percentage points.
“Well, I can give you one example where I would no longer support Donald Trump”, Cruz replied.
Florida is U.S. Senator Marco Rubio’s state, but according to a CBS News’ Battleground Tracker poll, Trump is ahead of Rubio in Florida by a good 20%.
Mrs. Clinton already holds a significant lead among delegates nationwide. “Instead, every Democratic contest allocates delegates proportionally – meaning the only way to rack up a lot more pledged delegates than your rival is by winning big victories”. Donald Trump is gaining currency here and people opposed to him seem to be gathering behind Ted Cruz, the Texas Senator who has given a semblance of fight to the front runner. The closeness of that race could potentially be worrisome for Clinton, who narrowly lost to Sanders in a surprising MI upset last week.
But speaking with reporters in IL on Monday, Cruz did say there was a scenario he wouldn’t get behind Trump.
Mrs. Clinton has the advantage among women on the Democratic side while men prefer Mr. Sanders, the poll suggests. Still, she’s eying the general election and escalating her attacks on Trump, saying he’s “inciting mob violence” at his rallies.

Trump’s opponents believe he is vulnerable in a two-man contest because he has failed to poll more than 50% in surveys and in the primaries and caucuses so far.
