Ted Cruz’s new running mate Carly Fiorina slams Donald Trump in California

He said Sunday in IN that competing against republican rivals is “wasting time” he could be spending raising campaign cash. His dominance quelled – though didn’t snuff out – talk that the nomination might be decided at a contested convention. As Temple told me, the California primary involves 172 delegates.

But Kasich and Cruz have said they’re teaming up to stop that from happening and force a rare, brokered convention. With the remaining states being friendly territory for Trump and with polls showing that he is doing extremely well, a Cruz loss in IN would be devastating and clear the way for the one-time television reality star and real estate mogul to truly begin his campaign against Hillary Clinton.

State delegate Domingo Santos said he was backing the Trump slate of delegates on Saturday because he respected the will of Arizona’s voters who weighed in on March 22.

He has called the system of selecting delegates “rigged”.

“That’s the big question that every single person here in this room is anxious about”, said Dhillon, a San Francisco resident.

With a giant battle looming on Tuesday in IN, supporters of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz waged delegate skirmishes across the country on Saturday, as Cruz again won more delegate slots to the Republican National Convention, while Trump said he was poised for a primary victory that could all but end this GOP fight.

According to a Politico article, New Hampshire delegates were first notified of the vote Saturday and instructed to vote before noon Monday.

Trump carried the state last week with 60.8% of the vote, capturing all 16 of the delegates up for grabs. “But the path to doing so narrows substantially if Mr. Trump sweeps IN and wins all of its 57 delegates”, notes the Wall Street Journal.

Saturday’s crowd included Trump supporters, such as Daphne Barak, a delegate from Beverly Hills who is a friend of the Trump family.

Hancock said the three-person slates chosen in Missouri’s 1st and 8th districts are made up of Trump supporters.

But Cruz, who finished a distant second, is likely to get support from more than just the 18 delegates awarded to him should a nominee not be chosen on the first ballot. Republican party insiders are gathering to pick 16 delegates for the national presidential convention. Three Republican National Committee members are automatic delegates. They could “stop abortions for the next 50 years”, she said, taking the choice out of the hands of women. Michael Williams, the Trump campaign’s co-chairman in Georgia. “Behind the Donald Trump mask is Hillary Clinton”, claiming that he supports numerous same policies she does. If Trump, who is on the campaign trail with the state’s legendary basketball coach Bobby Knight, can pull off a victory in IN, even one that is not as overwhelming as his victories in NY or Pennsylvania, it will be virtually impossible for Cruz to continue with his campaign.

In a handful of states, such as Oklahoma, delegates are bound to follow the will of voters on all ballots at the national convention. After a string of recent primary wins she is now 90 percent of the way to the delegate number needed to claim nomination.

Party activists deny that the process is unfair.

“Even if the media yearns to declare this race over, the path to 1,237 delegates remains narrow for Trump, and he just left the most favorable part of the map for him in the northeast”, the movement said in a statement.

“We’re required to advertise the meetings”.

“Governor Pence is really a wordsmith, and the fact that endorsement was not in the statement, to me, means he was stating a personal preference as opposed to a full endorsement”, said Mike Murphy, a GOP strategist, “It will reinforce the opinions of people who were inclined to vote for Cruz already, and it will not sway the opinions of people who are inclined to vote against Cruz”. Trump said in February. Nonetheless, Trump said, “It’s a sound bite”.
