Ted Cruz’s Turnaround Support for Trump

Cruz cited Trump’s pledges on the judiciary in his Facebook post.

Cruz paused, then answered: “I think we have one of two choices”.

“And so my ask was not a personal ask to apologize to my family”.

Cruz again went back to attacking Hillary Clinton, and stressed the importance of maintaining the presidency in order to control the Supreme Court and defend gun rights.

“My faith teaches to forgive with or without an apology”.

Hillary Clinton has tapped longtime adviser Philippe Reines to play Donald Trump in her mock debate preparations, according to a person familiar with Reines’ involvement.

After all, instead of announcing an endorsement of Trump during his speech at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July, Cruz told a rousing crowd to “vote their conscience.” Cruz even went so far as to collude on convention delegates with liberal OH governor John Kasich in a desperate, last-ditch bid to derail Trump’s front-running candidacy.

Smith asked Cruz if he believed the black community has legitimate grievances with law enforcement, and his response was met with loud booing. “We know, without a doubt, that every Clinton appointee would be a left-wing ideologue”. However, Lee effectively rejected the would-be Supreme Court nomination on Friday.

Has Ted Cruz saved his political future with this endorsement?

Cruz, over the weekend, dodged questions about whether or not he believes Trump is fit to be president.

A Cruz endorsement could be the last pillar to helping Trump shore up the support of conservatives who have remained reticent about supporting his campaign.

Democratic strategist Michael Feldman, who is not involved in the Clinton campaign, said Reines “does verbal combat at a high level and has for a long time”.

After the interview, Beck called out Cruz for acting like any other politician by caving to pressure from the political establishment in the hopes that it would help his long-term career. “This commitment matters, and it provides a serious reason for voters to choose to support Trump”.

The comments underscore a dramatic U-turn for Cruz, who has referred to Trump as a “trainwreck” and a “pathological liar” who could not be trusted in the White House.

Cruz said that for some time he had been seeking greater specificity on Trump’s views toward filling the opening on the court, which is now deadlocked between four right-leaning and four left-leaning jurists.
