Ted Cruz says Donald Trump has ‘NY values,’ the Internet cries anti-Semitism
The Texas senator again accused Trump of “New York values” during Thursday night’s debate. “We need to tell people about Ted Cruz, and talk especially to Christians and make sure they get out and vote”. Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and also had Canadian citizenship until he renounced it in 2014.

Trump argues that regardless of whether Cruz is a “natural-born” citizen eligible for the presidency under the Constitution, lawsuits challenging his eligibility would delay his taking office and acting on reform.
That clash of Republican presidential candidates was the sixth for the GOP in this election cycle, and was the least-watched thus far.
But Cruz’s response has been to double-down: Saturday he released a video of Trump saying in 1999 that “Hey, I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life so my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa, perhaps, but [gays openly serving in the military] is not something that would disturb me”.
Yet no exchange encapsulated the night better than their clash over “New York values”.
Trump also bashed Cruz for his “wiseguy apology” to the people of NY for knocking Trump’s “New York values”.
The crowd in SC booed loudly as he made it, and he admitted he was only doing it because Cruz’s poll numbers were improving. “He has come here plenty of times to gain money for his campaign from people in NY”.
A Texas lawyer has filed a lawsuit saying Ted Cruz’s status as a “natural born citizen” should be decided by the court system – and Donald Trump is loving it.
As for their mutual audience Saturday, opinions appeared hard-baked weeks before Iowa’s February 1 caucuses.
Trump continued to hit Cruz over the matter in a handful of other tweets.
Trump expressed his ire at the comments during the debate, calling it a “very insulting statement”.
Pressed on whether he regretted his call to bar Muslims from entering the U.S., Trump had a one-word answer: “No”.
The Christie-Rubio dynamic stood out at times, particularly when Rubio refused to condemn an ad from a super PAC supporting him that portrays Christie as similar to President Barack Obama. The Senate forms do not state explicitly that the money was used on his campaign.
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ chances for the Democratic nomination continue to slowly increase, with his odds at 22%, but Hillary Clinton remains the clear front-runner in the Prediction Market at 78%.

Rubio was much more serious when he said Clinton is “disqualified from being president of the United States” because she “mishandled” intelligence, a reference to her use of a personal email account and server rather than a government account while at the State Department. “And I think I might have had something to do with it, if you want to know the truth”.
