Tammy Duckworth of IL, made headlines elsewhere Thursday after he decided against attending a meeting between Trump and Senate Republican leaders. Some kept a distance from the feud. “I think you’re seeing the process of unification start”, Scott said.

Trump was greeted by applause from more than 200 House GOP members at the standing-room-only gathering, according to GOP aides, and was introduced at the event by financial commentator and TV personality Larry Kudlow. Lawmakers gave him repeated applause.

Flake appeared to restrain himself from responding to Trump afterward. Trump vowed to win IL in November, despite the fact it has voted Democratic in the last six presidential elections.
