Teddy Bridgewater ruins Chargers player’s whole weekend with nasty juke move
The Vikings quarterback returned after missing one game because of an apparent sore shoulder and led them Sunday to a 23-10 preseason win over San Diego before a sellout crowd of 66,133 in the first game at the sparkling, $1.1 billion new stadium. Defensively, the Vikings allowed Melvin Gordon‘s 39-yard touchdown run after missing him on a blitz and gave up Rivers’ 25-yard pass to Danny Woodhead, but largely limited the Chargers’ big plays. The Vikings might begin to get the answer to that question, if Clemmings starts on Sunday.

“We were happy about some things, but not with others”, guard Brandon Fusco said.
There was no guarantee that the spark in the final two minutes would come.
After sitting out last week, Bridgewater found Kyle Rudolph for a 27-yard score to cap a crisp 2-minute drill and led the Vikings to points on three of five possessions.
Bridgewater’s preseason workload consists of two series in the opener at Cincinnati – he threw a 49-yard touchdown pass to Charles Johnson – so Zimmer certainly would like to get Bridgewater some more work. The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority says that “should make the stadium louder” because the material is “more acoustically reflective”. “I know it’s going to help us out in the long run”. It’s incredible how the entire offense worked together. The 5-foot-10 Alexander has been considered to be the guy who eventually will take over for Captain Munnerlyn as the Vikings’ nickel back, but it’s clear Alexander’s confidence and play-making ability has caught the eye of Zimmer in training camp.
Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has battled some injuries during the 2016 preseason, but he should be ready to go on Sunday.
Early in the third quarter, Hill threw a pass to tight end MyCole Pruitt, who fumbled after an 11-yard gain to the San Diego 3.

Trattou has been a playmaker in limited duty and has a propensity for making plays when his number is called. “I’m not really overemphasizing anything, I’m just letting it loose and having fun with it and and whatever happens, happens”. Perhaps the best play of the day for McKinnon was on third down, when he was stopped a few yards behind the line of scrimmage but kept his legs churning and was able to move the chains.
