Teddy Bridgewater using mom’s breast cancer battle as inspiration for rehab
Spielman said Bridgewater and his inner circle should choose a surgeon to do his surgery sometime in the next day or two. Though that recovery time will be significant.

Bridgewater delivered a hand-written statement to the Vikings, who distributed his thanks to the entire organization, praise for Sugarman and his staff and appreciation for the well wishes from fans. “Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab”.
Bridgewater has been being cared for at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) since suffering a catastrophic dislocation of his knee and the complete tear of his ACL Tuesday.
For Bridgewater, just getting back to the field will take some time.
“I told him the first thing is to get your mindset set”, Peterson said Thursday following the Vikings’ 27-25 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in their preseason finale. “Just a freaky deal”.
He said the Vikings will not give up a high draft pick or any of their young players for a quarterback, saying other teams have made demands that are “just insane”.
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater has dropped a statement following his season-ending leg injury. “We’re going to grieve today and be upset about it”.
“Teddy is such an incredible kid, ” Zimmer said. Shaun Hill is the primary backup, but he’s 36 years old and has played only sparingly over the last five years.
Throughout Tuesday’s news conference, Zimmer emphasized that the Vikings need to move forward with a team first mentality as they prepare for the Tennessee Titans in week one. We all feel bad if it is significant, real significant, for Teddy, but this is about the team. “We want to make sure he gets the best care possible and hopefully we’ll get a decision in the next 24 hours on where and when he’ll get his surgery”.
In a matter of moments, a season that began with so much promise for the Vikings was thrown up into the air.

Losing Bridgewater would be a huge blow for Minnesota, which went 11-5 and won the NFC North last season with him starting all 16 games, and looked to be the division favorite against this year. He won’t be able to build off his Pro Bowl season this year, but next year will be in his sights and he’ll use that as motivation to take 2017 by storm and be a force for the Vikings.
