Teen Choice Awards get serious with Jessica Alba, Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake
“I don’t know if I was anyone’s teen heartthrob but I think I was everyone’s big sister and I feel more comfortable with that anyway”, the “Fuller House” star told us on the blue carpet at the Teen Choice Awards Sunday night.

Jessica Alba took the stage with teens whose lives were affected by gun violence, whether at the hands of police or armed criminals.
Receiving a special honour was Justin Timberlake, who was presented with the first-ever Decade Award by basketball icon Kobe Bryant.
R’n’B singer Ne-Yo later joined the stage, paying tribute to the tragic victims as he sang Marvin Gaye’s hit What’s Going On. Ne-Yo added: “We need to come together as one”. He continued, “I try to live my life working most closely with, making music with, and spending so much of my time with an awesome group of people-male, female, gay, straight, every walk of life. The truth is we are all different, but that does not mean we all don’t want the same thing”, he stated.
The duo were great in their roles as hosts, and got into some insane shenanigans throughout the night but the height of it was when Cena and Justice entered the stage as presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump respectively. You will fall down.
“I’m here to say you will make mistakes along the way”.
Pretty Little Liars won the most awards with 6 surfboards including Choice TV Show: Drama, Choice TV Actress: Drama (Ashley Benson), Choice TV Actor: Drama (Ian Harding), Choice TV: Chemistry (Ashley Benson and Tyler Blackburn) Choice TV Villain (Janel Parrish), Choice TV: Scene Stealer (Sasha Pieterse).

British boyband One Direction were also honoured with a few surfboards, the Teen Choice Awards trophy of choice, as they were named Choice Song Group victor for their hit Home, as well as taking the Choice Fandom and Choice Music Group awards. In other semi-notable happenings, John Stamos made a Pokemon-Go joke, Empire’s Serayah genuinely rocked her performance, and a Flo Rida medley finally answered the age old question, “Does Flo Rida have enough songs for a medley?”
