Fans of late singer Christina Grimmie are definitely not happy with the Teen Choice Awards. Nothing. I watched all that, not once was her name mentioned.

Grimmie won the Choice Music Web Star award, however, like many awards, it was not announced during the broadcast due to timing restrictions.

Over 21,000 people “liked” fellow YouTube star Shane Dawson, who angrily said he was glad there was no tribute from the “trash show”.

Other angry tweets poured in. “@TeenChoiceFOX y’all do realise the amount of viewers you have just forever lost because of the Christina grimmie stunt you pulled right?”

– angie (@rightheredinah) August 1, 2016Teen Choice blatantly exploited Christina Grimmie’s death to promote their show only to neglect her in their actual show. “Now more than ever we need to stop, feel, and ask, ‘What’s going on?'”#StopTheViolence became a trending topic during her speech, and as the camera panned the crowd, there were tears and applause.

There were many, many more.

Timberlake has won a total of 23 Teen Choice Awards during his career, and earlier this year presented Bryant with an Icon Award at a major sporting awards ceremony. This year, producers say, 37 million fans voted on Twitter, Fox.com and the Fox Now App.

Pretty Little Liars took home a major haul. It was a very confusing choice given Grimmie’s VERY recent death and her huge fan base.

Fox did not respond to a query about why producers did not address Grimmie on the show.

Jessica Alba even shared the stage with victims of violence to talk about peace before introducing Ne-Yo, who then covered “What’s Going On” by Marvin Gaye, Billboard reported.
