Teenager strikes gold on holiday swim
The teenager found the gold bar, two metres under water, in Lake Koenigssee.

She handed it into police, who are now investigating where it came from and who owned it. She’s obviously a very good swimmer then.
Divers carried out a thorough search of the area on Tuesday but did not find any more gold or valuables.
This story has surfaced (pardon the pun) a few days after an off-duty Florida policeman found £12 million pounds worth of cocaine wrapped up in a rubbish bag while fishing in the gulf of mexico.
A picture released by officers shows the bar, which is 6cm long, has several markings including references to its weight and fineness.
It appears to be the work of Degussa Feingold, a company that has been manufacturing gold bars for around 150 years now, and is estimated to be worth around €16,000 ($18,000).

Rumors that Nazi gold was once lost in the lake have circulated in the past, but reports indicate that this discovery “was not connected to the Nazi era”, according to the BBC.
