Tekken 7 is headed to PS4

A new Tekken 7 trailer is out this week, following Bandai Namco‘s brief appearance at Sony’s Paris Games Week press conference, but there’s still no word on when fans can expect Tekken 7 to migrate from Japanese arcades to North American retailers.

A press release from Bandai Namco reveals the title is also likely coming to Xbox One. The series will be running on Unreal Engine 4, will features many modes, and will have an extensive storyline as well.

Katsuhiro Harada took the stage after Capcom’s Street Fighter V presentation and debuted the below trailer showcasing the game’s historic history with PlayStation. With the TEKKEN franchise celebrating its 20th anniversary; the newest chapter of the series returns to its gameplay roots with classic 1 vs 1 bouts and its canon storyline centered on the eternal struggle for power amongst the members of the Mishima clan.

Tekken 7 has been in arcades for a while now, but we’ve been waiting to see if Namco’s fighter would be making its way through to consoles any time soon.

Specifically highlighted in the trailer is the new playable character Kazumi Mishima, wife of series main antagonist Heihachi Mishima and grandmother of series main protagonist Jin Kazama. “The epic conclusion will unfold in Tekken 7!”.
