Recent reports suggest that a building on Reines Street has been surrounded by police, with some speculating that a suspect may be inside.

Yossi, a bus driver, told the station that he saw “a man dressed all in black holding an automatic weapon, shooting towards people and then towards me”.

He said it was unclear whether the attack had “criminal motivations” or was related to the ongoing escalation of violence between Israelis and Palestinians. According to another, he escaped on a motorbike. One of the cafe staffers said several people chased after him “but he disappeared” into a side-street.
