Telltale’s Game of Thrones Confirmed For a Second Season

After The Walking Dead, it looks like Game of Thrones will be the second series from Telltale Games to receive an additional season. Despite it concluding the season, it failed to resolve numerous season’s major stories.

More digital adventures in Westeros are coming from developer Telltale Games. The game is set in the world of HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s books, and it allowed players to control several characters belonging to and in service of House Forrester, a house aligned with the Starks.

Bruner describes the process of working on Telltale games as similar to working on a television show. It’s not unusual for our games to exist longer on whiteboards and sticky notes and in scripts longer than they do in traditional game production. Bruner explained that a second season was planned all along, but he “really shouldn’t be revealing more than that”.

After finishing the season finale for Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series, I had my suspicions that it was all setting up for an inevitable second season.

He wouldn’t say exactly how far along season two of Game of Thrones is or when fans could expect it, but he did say that there is no shortage of sticky notes on the walls at the development studio. The second season now has no start date, but it is in active development.
