Ten Alabama Players of Week after 52-6 win over Southern Cal

According to several reports, former USC head coach Steve Sarkisian was spotted at Alabama’s practice Monday.

Sarkisian, who was sacked by USC in the middle of his second season, had previously reached an agreement to work as a television analyst during games for Fox Sports.

“Once you get a penalty, that slows everything down, and they change the play calling”, Justin Davis said. “We’re glad to have him as a part of the organization and hopefully he’ll be able to get back on his feet professionally and this will be beneficial to him”. “But I think he understands the consequences that he deals with professionally if he has an issues or problems”. The case is headed for arbitration; Sarkisian is seeking the $12.6 million remaining on his contract in addition to unspecified damages.

“I think the biggest thing is to reevaluate yourself and you look at all aspects of your life”, Sarkisian told TMZ Sports last month. “When the first quarter was over I was wondering to myself, ‘Was this a good plan or a bad plan?”

On Sunday, USC coach Clay Helton said Ruffin would will miss the first half of the Trojans’ next game against Utah State on Saturday. In the 24-7 Florida win, starting quarterback Luke Del Rio, son of Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, threw two touchdown passes in his first career start to help extend the nation’s longest winning streak in season openers to 27. “I love being around the game of football”.

Sarkisian went 12-6 with the Trojans from 2014 to 2015 in his most recent coaching stint, which ended in relatively tragic fashion. Sarkisian was 34-29 at Washington from 2009-2013.

Sarkisian, who sought treatment amid the controversy and checked into rehab, previously served three seasons at USC as an offensive assistant and quarterbacks coach before spending 2004 as the Oakland Raiders’ quarterbacks coach.

Emotions were understandably high in Saturday’s season opener between Alabama and Southern Cal, and some of them even spilled over to the Crimson Tide sideline.

The Alabama Crimson Tide entered the season with the top-ranking once again, seemingly a given in the Nick Saban era. His overall head coaching record is 46-35.

Sarkisian has spent the better part of a year putting his life back together as he focuses on himself and his life.
