On Friday, John and Lisa Robinson of Munford showed off their potential winning ticket on NBC’s Today.

A Tennessee couple told the Today Show that they have a winning Powerball ticket Friday morning.

The family was joined by their new lawyer, Joe Townsend, who was first to urge them to make their TV appearance.

Lisa and John Robinson said they were both excited and scared about their Powerball win.

“I think the American public wants to hear from them”, Townsend says.

They’ve got the golden ticket!

The owners of the first of three Powerball jackpot winning tickets have been publicly confirmed as John and Lisa Robinson. “I wasn’t feeling good, and I handed the tickets to her and said, ‘I’m going to go lay down, ‘” he said.

They announced plans to return to work on Monday. Why? I’m posting this in case anyone tries to jack me this is proof! “We just wanted a little piece of the pie, but instead we got a big piece!”

The jackpot drawing Wednesday night marked a record-setting day for the Tennessee Lottery, with $18.9 million in tickets sold, Hargrove said.

The second of three $1 million tickets from Wednesday night’s historic Powerball drawing has been claimed by a group of 11 coworkers from the Paducah public schools system. All three states with winners have laws requiring their names be released publicly, according to the Powerball website.

They also recounted Wednesday night when the numbers were drawn.

Can you believe this lottery victor didn’t run to the store and confirm that their ticket is worth one-third of a $1.5 billion jackpot?! After taxes, they’ll receive $187.2 million.

Kathryn told lottery officials: “I still can’t breathe”. State lottery officials could not immediately be reached Friday morning.

Lottery officials said that Lawrence then called group member Tracy Leonard with the news – once they realized the tickets were at school in Leonard’s desk. Her husband added, “That’s what we’ve done all our lives”. He picked up a few tickets, came home and put them on the table for his wife. “I knew that I wanted to get an accountant”. They planned to go to Tennessee lottery officials after appearing on TODAY. “But you have to clean them”, Mr Robinson said.

John Robinson said they also want to help out certain friends, give some money to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, and donate to their church.
