Tennessee GOPer: ‘Christians Who Are Serious’ Should Be Armed
The owner of Frontier Firearms says a mass shooting in Oregon prompted the sale.

Ramsey says Christians specifically are in the sights of jihadist extremists and racial supremacists.
In the wake of the mass shooting in Oregon last week, the lieutenant governor of Tennessee is calling on Christians in his state to obtain a handgun permit and be “prepared” for future incidents.
“I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it. Our enemies are armed”.
If you’re in the market for a gun, an east Tennessee store is offering a deal especially if you’re a Christian. “Its a matter of saying the words I’m a Christian and you get the discount”, Williams said.
Williams said this is important because people are targeted for their beliefs. he doesn’t want to hide his faith. ” “We can stand up and not worry about being shot for our beliefs”.
“It’s not about owning a gun and retaliation and promoting more violence in our society- it’s about promoting peace”, said Cameron Brooks, Knox County Democratic Party Chairman.
Janet Willis, grandmother of wounded student Anastasia Boylan, said victims who identified themselves as Christian were shot in the head. “I think that’s wrong”. “The best people to give moral advice on guns or any other issue are church leaders, and they’ve been conspicuously silent on the question of Christians arming up in fear”.
He supports the second amendment but doesn’t think guns are the answer.
“Senator Ramsey unfortunately chose the road most traveled by the radical right”, said Clemmons, who introduced a bill earlier this year that sought to amend the state’s “guns-in parks” legislation, the Tennessean reports.

“First of all, Christians are not supposed to kill others, so for him to say that we should all have guns, that goes against, to me, what is the main teaching of the Christian church”, he said.
