Police confirmed on Tuesday that a vial of PCP was found in the vehicle, but no gun was found on Mr Crutcher or at the scene.

Tiffany Crutcher said the family wants charges to be brought against the officers involved in the shooting.

But attorneys for Crutcher’s family dispute that claim.

Lynch said that violence followed the protests that broke out in reaction to Scott’s death.

“Nobody claimed that he was a flawless individual”. “He did not have any warrants”.

“If any good comes out of this – if any good comes out of this – we’re hoping that America will open their eyes, everybody, and see that there’s an issue – a systemic issue that needs to be solved”, Tiffany Crutcher told news reporters. Terence, who had just enrolled in classes at Tulsa Community College, told his sister he loved her and that he was going to make her proud.

“He brought to TCC his talents, hopes and dreams of creating a successful life by dedicating himself to completing a degree”, Goodson said.

Tulsa’s police chief promised a thorough investigation, but the department is also now reporting that a vial of PCP was found in Crutcher’s auto.

Lewis responded: “I think we have to call it what it is”. Police have said no weapon was found on Crutcher’s body, or in the vehicle. A toxicology report could take several weeks.

Sharpton and members of Terence Crutcher’s family spoke Wednesday at the headquarters of Sharpton’s National Action Network in NY. Officers allege the father of four was high on the hallucinatory narcotic.

Police video shows Crutcher walking toward his SUV, which is stopped in the middle of the road.

“What he needed was a helping hand and they gave him a bullet in the lungs”, Crutcher family attorney Benjamin Crump told MSNBC.

A separate police dashcam video also shows the officer with a weapon drawn and following Crutcher as he walks to his vehicle with his hands in the air.

Crutcher can be seen dropping to the ground. Then nearly immediately, a woman’s voice yells on the police radio: “Shots fired!” Police surrounded the auto, Putney said, and Scott was shot by a black police officer after he exited the vehicle and did not obey orders to drop his weapon. Mann was armed with a knife and showing erratic behavior in the 15 minutes before he was shot by officers, witnesses said.

Trump questioned whether Shelby got “scared” or if she was “choking”.

The initial moments of Crutcher’s encounter with police are not shown in the footage. The case has prompted the Justice Department to investigate. The officer, Betty Shelby, is 42 years old.

Shelby had previously been accused of domestic abuse after her ex-husband filed a protective order against her.

“She wouldn’t harm anyone. It is clear that the criminal justice system is not treating everybody the same way”, he said. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.

“I must tell you, I watched the shooting in particular in Tulsa and that man was hands up, that man went to the vehicle – hands up – put his hand on the auto”. Bates said he mistakenly grabbed his gun instead of his Taser. The department said Tulsa County’s district attorney, Steve Kunzweiler, will review its findings, the Times reported.
