The 43-year-old reality star served her time in the federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut. “She can’t wait to see them”, a source told People magazine ahead of her release.
Teresa, along with husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana, will be spending Christmas Eve with her sister-in-law and brother, Melissa and Joe Gorga. E! Online reports that her family, including her four daughters, decorated their Montville, New Jersey house in anticipation of her arrival and hung up signs saying “We Missed You”.
“She wanted to make sure she looked good when she came out”, another source said.
Real Housewives Executive Producer and Bravo staple Andy Cohen also confirmed Teresa’s release on social media, tweeting out to his more than 1.72 million followers, “Welcome home @Teresa_Giudice!”
Bravo cameras were not permitted to film Teresa’s actual departure from the correctional facility in Danbury, but we’ve learned they are already inside her home, gathering up footage for an upcoming special.
After reaching a plea deal, Teresa was originally sentenced to 15 months in jail, while Joe got a whopping 41 months.
One of New Jersey’s “Real Housewives” has been freed after serving almost a year in prison for bankruptcy fraud. In one of the final, and sweetest photos, Teresa can also be seen standing in the middle of a giant family hug while planting a big kiss on Joe. She will be on home confinement until February 5.
