Ashley Fleetwood’s hashtag #ForceForDaniel was retweeted by Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker) and John Boyega (the new character Finn).
The newest edition of “Entertainment Weekly” goes inside “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and reveals new details about the film, as well as offers four collectors editions of the issue with special magazine covers.
“He is now one with God and with the force”, his wife Ashley Fleetwood, wrote on Facebook in the early hours of Tuesday, after giving a blow by blow account of his final hours. He is now one with God and with the force. He died in his sleep and in peace, she posted.
“I’m sure rewrites are going to be endless, like they always are…”, the 49-year-old says.
“His wife, Ashley Fleetwood, took to social media in an attempt to get her husband his wish to see the movie”.
“My mental anguish can’t compare to the pain and anxiety Daniel must be in right now”.
The film was screened at Fleetwood’s Texas home last Thursday, and director J.J. Abrams even took the time to give him a surprise phone call. “Lastly I want to thank ALL the awesome people who helped make this happen!!!May the force be with you all”.
“That was really the only requirement Larry and I imposed on each other: The movie needed to be delightful”, Abrams told Wired, referring to Lawrence Kasdan, the film’s co-writer.
She ended the message with a photo of the couple together, wearing #forcefordaniel T-shirts, and wrote: “Rest in peace my love”.
Like many Star Wars fans, Fleetwood was thrilled that he’d get to see a new trilogy of one of his favorite franchises.
Fleetwood saw an unedited version last week. “May the force be with you all smile emoticon #forcefordaniel!!!!”
