The “Empire” star Howard returns to a Los Angeles courtroom on Thursday, August 13, 2015, to try to overturn a divorce settlement with his ex-wife that he contends was reached through extortion.

While revealing the details of the threats during a hearing in an effort to overturn the settlement agreement, Howard broke down and told the judge that he signed it under duress.

“Michelle was threatening that if I didn’t get this mediation, this settlement agreement (signed) she would release to the public that I had herpes and that she would release the videos and audios of me in a very private and intimate place and that I would never be able to work again in this business”, he claimed.

The actor will now undergo cross-examination by Ghent’s attorneys.

“I was terrified of her releasing the private tapes”, he said.

“Did you give Michelle an STD (sexually transmitted disease)?” her lawyer Sa’id Vakili asked.

He denied physically abusing Ghent during a 2010 trip to South Africa for a movie shoot.

Howard said he had hoped to get the recordings back from Ghent during their marriage but was unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, the ongoing nasty divorce dispute has prompted 20th Century Fox, which produces “Empire”, to seek guidance on where to send Terrence Howard’s “Empire” earnings, Daily Mail revealed.

She also claims he threatened to murder her at one point.

Yvonne claims Ghent “had him [Terrence] by the balls”, and then claimed to have a tape where Terrence is having sex with a woman while another woman is present.

The actor is turning the tables on Michelle and taking her to court, claiming their entire divorce settlement should be thrown out, because she allegedly extorted him into signing it!

She said she had video of Howard singing naked in the bathroom and could sell it for $2 million.

The actor’s testimony will conclude in court Monday.

Howard received an Oscar nomination for his starring role in 2005’s “Hustle & Flow”.
