Terrifying Boat Chase With Whales on Their Tail
A report by KTLA adds that the chance encounter with the killer whales took place around 5 miles off Point Loma.

Two fishermen were in for the scare of their lives while fishing in San Diego, CA last week… having to escape from a pod of irritated orcas. Some chasing whales stayed close for a while, despite the driver speeding up to put distance between the boat and the whales. The giant mammals could have easily flipped over their speedboat but luckily, the two were able to make it back to land safely.
Although the fishermen are at first alarmed – they soon become brave enough to put the camera underwater to film the incredible creatures swimming alongside them.
About 1 minute and 20 seconds into the video, a whale jumps out of the water and comes within feet of the boat. The fishermen posted a video of the incident on YouTube showing the orcas surrounding the boat in pursuit as the fishermen tried to flee to the shore, according to The Huffington Post. When the fishermen started running with the boat, the killer whales started tailing them and playing in the wake of the boat.
