The airport’s evacuation came hours after the city of Nice was hit by a terrorist attack on July 14 night.

It is not clear why the order was given by police for everyone to leave. An Associated Press reporter at the scene said the terminal building had been sealed off and that military personnel are visible inside.
The evacuation comes just hours after someone killed dozens of people on the promenade, driving through the crowds for more than a mile. Police fired back and the driver was eventually shot dead.
Air traffic at Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport, that has been previously evacuated, returns back to normal, a spokeswoman for the airport told Sputnik on Friday.
At least 84 people died, including 10 children, after a man identified as Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel drove the vehicle into the crowd in a suspected terror attack.
The French Interior Ministry reported about 84 people being dead and 18 in critical condition.
