Terry Francona To Accompany John Farrell To First Chemotherapy Session
When Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell goes to his first chemotherapy session on Tuesday, he will have a special friend there to accompany him.

“When there was a chance for a pitching coach here, he was the first guy that we looked to, knowing that he would probably not be here very long because he was so good”, he said.
“He gave up a home run tonight but it’s not that home run that maybe he shouldn’t give up”.
With the Red Sox hosting the Indians for three games starting Monday, Farrell and Francona might have been hanging out this week anyway.
Staying hot could be hard against the Indians, whose starters have a 2.70 ERA while allowing two runs or fewer in six of their last seven. However, the left-hander must rebound after giving up eight runs in five-plus innings of a 14-6 defeat at Miami on Wednesday. Brantley tried to keep the positive vibes flowing by stealing 2nd himself, but after doing so Carlos Santana would strike out to end the inning. He was called up Monday from Triple-A Pawtucket and made his first major league start. Abraham Almonte opening the scoring with an RBI, Chisenhall followed a two-run double, and Jerry Sands and Mike Aviles added RBI’s as well. The 25-year-old right-hander held the Indians hitless for the first 31/3 innings.
They played for the Indians in 1988.
He didn’t make the catch, but it was another example of the young outfielder’s potential. Unfortunately, they’ll be matched up against one of baseball’s best in Danny Salazar.
There may be little love lost between the Red Sox and former manager Terry Francona following their acrimonious split four seasons ago, but Tito remains close with at least one member of the organization: John Farrell. 1B Chris Johnson was out of the Cleveland lineup for a second straight day because of a spider bite on his left hand.
RED SOX: Ramirez was back in the lineup after missing six consecutive games with a bruised left foot. 3B Pablo Sandoval also returned.
“When you’re coming in with men on first and second late in the game, what other pitches do you use, how do you kind of go about attacking the hitter”.

The Sox and Tribe will be back at it Tuesday night, with Boston’s Eduardo Rodriguez going up against Trevor Bauer.
